The Library fulfills its role as the “heart or nerve center” of the University for academic activities revolve around it. It performs two complementary goals, to support the academic programs of the University and to reinforce the research activities of the faculty and students. For the institutions vision and mission, the Library contributes directly by equipping the students with skills and knowledge that they need to achieve their academic potentials and employability in the future. To facilitate teaching and learning, it provides collections that can support, supplement, and enrich the curricula. The collections include more than fifty thousand volumes of books, periodicals both printed and on-line, electronic resources and others.
It subscribes to EBSCO Information Service’s which offers fifteen databases like, Academic Search Premier, Business Source Premier, CINAHL with full text, Communication and Mass Media Complete, Computers and Applied Sciences Complete, Education Research Complete, ERIC, GreenFILE, Hospitality and Tourism, Information Science and Technology Abstract, MAS Fulltext Ultra School Edition, Military and Government Collection, Primary Search Host, Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection, Religion and Philosophy Collection, Explora for Secondary and Primary Schools. The Library hosts and Technology Academic and Research Based Openly Operated Kiosk Station (STARBOOKS), a DOST nation-wide project aimed at making science and technology information accessible to all. It is a repository of the National Statics Authority and Bangko Central ng Pilipinas publications.
With the subscription of databases, the Library is now available twenty four (24) hours irrespective of building opening hours. The Library is open sixty-nine (69) hours per week. It offers Reader’s services which include 1. Circulation, lending of books and other resources to users and receiving returned books and other resource. 2. Reference Services, answering reference questions, literature search, bibliographic assistance, abstracting, current awareness service. 3. Instruction, library orientation, group or individual mentoring. The technical services include selection and acquisition, cataloging and indexing.
For the proper and equitable use of the resources, rules and procedures are set which are included in the Student Handbook of the University.
