STUDENT AFFAIRS OFFICE
Student Affairs is devoted to creating a campus environment that attracts and supports students of varying backgrounds and abilities and to empower them to reach their full potential. It also foster an integrated learning experience that will help students reach their educational, social, personal, and professional yearnings. In accord with the institution’s vision mission, the Office aims to provide avenue for growth and advancement through spiritual, social, cultural, athletic, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities with the end in view that students may develop into holistic individuals. It endeavors to nurture a campus environment where academic and non-academic pursuits are balanced thereby making campus life more enriching, interesting, and worthwhile for students.
The role of the Student Affairs Office is binary. First, it functions as an administrative office and secondly, it aims to serve the needs of paulinian students in the many aspects of student life. Accordingly, aside from its function of overseeing student activities and interests, the office operates to promulgate and/or enforce institutional and/or DepEd or CHED policies, rules and regulations concerning student organizations, programs, activities, student comportment, and student discipline.
St. Paul University Dumaguete aims to expose students with various opportunities for involvement to develop their interpersonal skills, work skills and leadership skills. Meaningful involvement in and out campus which will advance the development of these skills that may be useful in handling real life situations. Co-curricular and extracurricular activities which are truly significant elements of the SPUDs mission of holistic formation.
A selection of student organizations recognized by the school caters to the various areas of interest including academic, professional, recreational, cultural, sports, leadership and service. Students involvement in student organizations will be a wonderful avenue for growth and learning.
