As one Paulinian Family, St. Paul University Dumaguete had the Institutional Faith Sharing last July 4, 2019, on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. The student leaders from the Paulinian Student Government are the ones who facilitated the faith sharing in the classrooms. This activity enables the Paulinian Community to encounter God, the God who speaks to us and shares His love so that we might have life in abundance (Jn. 10:10).
The activity started when the bell rung at exactly 3:50 p.m. which signifies the preparation for the activity. During the entire faith-sharing activity, the campus became a prayerful atmosphere for faith sharing because of the soothing and reflective background music.
The activity started with the prayer for the holy spirit and followed by the reading of the Holy Gospel According to Luke Chapter 9 verses 51-62. After the reading of the Holy Scripture, there was a reflection for the students and employees. The reflection revolves around the people as followers of Christ.
The guide questions for personal reflection and sharing also emphasizes on the concrete and personal experiences of the student or employee concerning the most meaning phrase from the Holy Gospel. There was also a part where the employees and students created a plan of action on the concrete acts that they will do in following Jesus.
In conclusion, the activity has strengthened the faith and bond of the Paulinian Family as one community and they were able to encounter God in the most meaning way.
