  • Philippine Airlines Hiring at SPUD

    St. Paul University Dumaguete (SPUD) recently responded to the request of Philippine Airlines (PAL) Express to conduct a one (1) day hiring activity on June 22, 2016. PAL Representatives & Line Administrators, Mr. Kenneth Chester Cruz and Mr. Rommel Daniel Bonzon came to Dumaguete City last month to coordinate the said special event.

    Aside from the graduates and alumni of SPUD, interested applicants from Negros Oriental and neighboring islands can also apply and submit themselves to the hiring process. The activity registration will start at 7AM; Career Orientation will follow at 8AM with special participation of the 3rd year and 4th year tourism students of SPUD.

    PAL shall be hiring Flight Attendants (Male & Female). He/she must be a Filipino Citizen, not more than 27 years old, completed at least 2 years of college, can speak English and Filipino, Female applicants must be at least 5’3, Male applicants must be at least 5’6, weight must be proportional to height, with good visual impact and pleasing personality, with clear complexion and a good set of teeth, with perfect vision (20/20) or with contact lenses but not beyond (20/30) and applicants must bring their updated Curriculum Vitae and apply in person.

    Cruz and Bonzon pointed out that the hiring process will follow its standard procedure such as the holding of the Briefing, Orientation & Career Talk (Company Background, Fleets, Experiences, Safety Demo & Application Process) and Height & Weight Assessment. A medical representative from PAL will check if the candidate is qualified for the position based on the height and weight requirements. This will be followed by a series of interviews and the online exam.

    All applicants are invited and requested to come for pre-registration activity at the SPUD Guidance Center from June 13 – 18, 2016.
