The feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is celebrated each year on the eighth of September. The Church has celebrated Mary’s birth since at least the sixth century. Her nativity is a cause for great joy as it is considered the" dawn of our salvation" as Pope Paul VI wrote in the document, Marialis Cultus in 1972.
As September 9 this year falls on a Sunday, SPUD celebrated the special day last September 6 (Friday), in anticipation of the birthday of the Blessed Mother. In her honor, the whole Paulinian community attended the floral offering and the Holy Eucharistic Celebration at 7:30 in the morning at the St. Paul Apostles Chapel.
