More than 400 Paulinians have attended this years Orientation for New students and Transferees and the Reorientation for Returning College students, July 2 & 3, 2019 respectively, at the Father Louis Chauvet Hall.
In her opening message, Sr. Joseline R. Lasala, SPC (University President) have welcomed the students of Academic Year 2019-2020 by sharing the Paulinian history- on how Paulinian education has come to be. She also challenged both the new and returning students to achieve the Paulinian identity of being warm, active, and simple, living in a Christocentric Paschal Spirituality.
The program comprises the different talks from various offices and facilities of the school, orienting them on the functions of these different areas especially to the studentry. Amongst the presenters were from the Christian Formation Office, Student Services, ICT/Systems Orientation, Guidance Office, Scholarships, Library, Registrar, Facilities, Health Services/Clinic, Finance, and the Safety and Security.
Emphasized during the orientation were the proper and improper wearing of the Paulinian uniform, civilian attire, and the different departmental course uniforms. During the Orientation Program, freshmen also had a special activity called "One Big Tuyok/OBT" wherein they had the chance to tour around the premises of the university to be acquainted with the different offices and facilities.
Moreover, this years Orientation and Reorientation Programs highlighted the Universitys Zero Plastic-Waste Advocacy, aiming to avoid single-use plastic whereby students are enjoined to bring their tumbler. In support of the advocacy, students who brought their tumbler can enjoy the free juice refreshments called the "PauliFreshments".
The activity was made possible through the collaboration of the Student Affairs Office (SAO) headed by the SAO Manager Mr. Kenneth Paul Duran and the Paulinian Student Government.
