St. Paul University Dumaguete Warmly Welcomes St. Francis School-La Libertad: A Day of Learning and Celebration
St. Paul University Dumaguete (SPUD) recently opened its doors to welcome administrators and students from St. Francis School-La Libertad in a special gathering held at the St. Joseph Hall. The event aimed to foster camaraderie, promote academic exchange, and showcase the diverse offerings of SPUD.
The program commenced with an opening prayer, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. Mr. Erven Noay, the head of the External Affairs at SPUD, extended a warm and heartfelt welcome to the guests. He presented an overview of the university's programs and offerings through engaging video clips, piquing the visitors' interest in the various fields of study available at SPUD.
Mrs. Amelita Amor, the Basic Education Librarian, then provided a brief orientation on the library's services, highlighting the resources available to students and the importance of utilizing them for academic success. The visitors actively participated in a question-and-answer session, with each correct response earning them SPUD souvenirs as tokens of appreciation.
The program continued with an energetic performance by the visitors, showcasing their dancing skills in a community dance titled "Isigaw mo, Paulinian Ako!" The dance showcased the unity and spirit of the St. Francis School-La Libertad community.
Following the performance, the Tourism and Hospitality Management students of SPUD led a comprehensive campus tour, allowing the guests to explore the university's beautiful surroundings and facilities. The visitors were impressed by the modern infrastructure and lush greenery that characterizes the campus.
As the day concluded, the students from St. Francis School-La Libertad were given the opportunity to research in the extensive resources available in both the Basic Education and College Libraries. This allowed them to gather information for their research topics and further enhance their academic pursuits.
The event was a resounding success, as it fostered a spirit of collaboration and learning between the two institutions. It not only provided the visitors with an insight into the diverse programs and offerings of SPUD but also allowed them to experience the warm and welcoming atmosphere that the university is known for.
