Four educators from St. Paul University Dumaguete joined the 2-day Philippine Association of Teachers and Educators (PAFTE) VII Regional Assembly in Tagbilaran City, Bohol. The event took place on April 12-13, 2024, at the Metro Centre Hotel. It aimed to explore the theme "Enhancing the Future of Education through AI-enabled Instructional Innovation."

The PAFTE VII Regional Assembly aimed to create a collaborative environment for stakeholders to share their best practices and discuss the potentials of AI in shaping the future of education. By identifying the challenges and opportunities associated with AI-enabled instruction, the assembly hoped to pave the way for a more inclusive and innovative educational system that caters to the diverse needs of learners in the 21st century.

The two-day assembly brought together educators, researchers, and policymakers from different schools and universities within Region 7 to discuss the challenges and opportunities presented by the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the education sector. With the rapid advancement of technology, AI-driven instructional strategies have become increasingly essential to cater to the diverse learning needs of students in the modern era.

The Paulinian educators who participated in the event are Mr. Zecariah Chito Jumawan, MBA-HTM, Subject Team Leader for TLE and SHS Student Activity Team Leader, Mrs. Rhea Roxana Grefaldia, MA-CDDS, Subject Team Leader for English and Filipino, Mrs. Vanessa Pis-an, MA-CDDS, Subject Team Leader for Religious Education and GS Homeroom Team Leader, and Mr. Erven Noay, MA-CDDS, MAEd, External Affairs Head. Their presence at the assembly underscores the importance of adapting to the rapidly changing educational landscape and the need for continuous professional development among educators.
