St. Paul University Dumaguete recently conducted a two-day training on the ISO 21001:2018 Educational Organization Management System (EOMS) internal quality auditors. The training, which took place at the MAT conference room, was facilitated by Engr. Angelica Fraginal, the CEO of ACF Consultancy and Training Services.
The training, which was held on June 10-11, 2024, was attended by 30 personnel from the university. The initiative was organized by the PDQA Planning, Development, and Quality Assurance Office, headed by Grace L. Alejado, MIT. The goal of the training was to develop a pool of Internal Quality Auditors (IQA) within the institution.
The purpose of the ISO 21001:2018 EOMS training was to equip the participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively conduct internal quality audits in compliance with the international standards. By having a team of trained auditors within the organization, SPU Dumaguete aims to enhance its educational organization management system and continuously improve the quality of education and services provided to its students.
The benefits of having IQAs within the institution include ensuring compliance with ISO standards, identifying areas for improvement, enhancing processes and systems, and ultimately, enhancing the overall quality of education. With a strong focus on quality assurance, SPU Dumaguete is committed to providing a high-quality educational experience for its students.
