SPUD CHDC, October 28, 2024 – The Amlan Medical Mission, organized by SPU Dumaguete CHDC in partnership with the Provincial Government of Negros Oriental, served over 500 community members at the SPUD Community Health Development Center (CHDC). This event marked the 120th Founding Anniversary celebration of SPUD, offering essential health services free of charge.

Participants had access to a wide range of services, including dental check-ups, tooth extractions, circumcision, X-rays, general medical assessments, blood sugar testing, and massages. In addition, individuals received free reading glasses, haircuts, manicures, and pedicures. The mission also provided seedlings, fruit-bearing trees, and anti-rabies vaccinations for animals, emphasizing a commitment to both health and agriculture.

Local leaders, including Congressman Manuel “Chiquiting” Sagarbarria and Governor Manuel “Chaco” Sagarbarria, attended the event, highlighting strong community support. Volunteer doctors and community members collaborated to ensure the event's success, creating a welcoming environment for all.

This mission shows the power of community when we come together for health and wellness. The success of this Medical Mission highlights a strong community spirit and sets a positive precedent for future health initiatives.
