SPUD Paniksik Society Ends 8-year Hiatus: Reviving LYBP

After 8 long years, the SPUD Paniksik Society held the fourth Lingganay Youth Biodiversity Camp at Siit Arboretum Botanical Garden (SABGI) on March 21-23, 2024.
This event was realized through the help of the Foundation of Philipinne Environment (FPE) under the #Youth4Biodiversity initiative.
A total of 20 participants coming from various schools in Sibulan, Dumaguete, Zamboanguita, Dauin, Bayawan, Sta. Catalina, and Basay joined the 3-day camp.
This camp targeted three Sustainable Developmental Goals (SDGs) including SDG 13: Climate Action, SDG 14: Life Below Water, and SDG 15: Life On Land.
By the end of the session, the participants were instructed to make an Earth pledge which is categorized by promising to take an action geared on the conservation and protection of the Earth.
Along with that, they are grouped to create an action plan to start an initiative on their respective localities targeting a problem concerning the aforementioned SDGs.
