APR 02

A significant milestone was celebrated as 53 Grade 3 pupils from Magsaysay Elementary School received their First Communion at St. Paul University Dumaguete. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Fr. Aloysius Maria Vime Moraga, the University Chaplain, who delivered a heartfelt message about the importance of faith and the Holy Eucharist.
Dressed in crisp white polos and beautiful white dresses, the children radiated joy as they gathered with their families and friends in the chapel. Their bright smiles reflected the love and support they received from their parents and teachers, including advisers Christine Joy Doit, Charylee Salvador, Jeryl Rose Ornales, and Doris Dagooc. Also present were school heads Mrs. Barsilisa Patrimonio and Doc Karen Tuvales, along with members of the Paulinian Catechist's Circle with their moderator Dr. Mary Francis Laquinon, who facilitated the preparation for this important day.
The event featured traditional prayers and hymns, creating a reverent yet festive atmosphere. Each pupil approached the altar with a sense of awe, marking their personal commitment to their faith while strengthening their connection to the community.
Parents expressed pride and gratitude for the guidance their children received, with one parent remarking, “This day fills our hearts with joy,” emphasizing the significance of the occasion.
This First Communion not only marked an important spiritual milestone for each child but also reinforced the values of love, compassion, and service within the community as they embark on their faith journey.
