St. Paul University Dumaguete (SPUD) has proudly secured the 189th spot in the 2025 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), placing it among the top 400 most innovative universities worldwide. This year, 1,253 universities from 87 countries joined the rankings.

SPUD also earned impressive positions in specific categories:

 17th in Empowerment-Based Management
 50th in University Brand and Reputation
 51st in Technology Development and Application

The recognition was announced during the 5th Annual Conference of the Hanseatic League of Universities (HLU) held on July 9–11, 2025, hosted by Negros Oriental State University, with St. Paul University Dumaguete, Silliman University, and Siquijor State College as co-hosts.

This achievement reflects SPUD’s ongoing efforts to build an innovative and purpose-driven academic community.
