The inaugural IMA APAC Student Leadership Conference, held on February 20-21 at The Noble Cebu Hotel and TOA Global, showcased outstanding talent from student chapters across the Philippines, including St. Paul University Dumaguete (SPUD).

SPUD was proudly represented by two dedicated students, Joaquin Adrian Acibo BSMA-IV and Lyka Mae Livestre BSMA-III, along with their adviser, Ms. Joanna Rose Deciar, CPA, MBA. The SPUD participants actively engaged in the conference's various activities, with Joaquin Adrian Acibo leading the Case Study Analysis Competition team, known as AWESOME 6.

Their team impressed judges and fellow participants with their insightful presentation, ultimately earning the top prize of P16,000 worth of microcredentials. Their achievement highlights the talent and potential of SPUD students in the field of management accounting and leadership.

This event was the first of its kind in the Asia Pacific region, fostering collaboration, innovation, and leadership among future professionals. The success of SPUD’s representatives underscores the university’s commitment to excellence and its vital role in nurturing the next generation of management accountants.
