SPUD and MMIFS Renew 'Basa Ta Bata' Partnership for A.Y. 2026–2027

?The College of Arts, Sciences, and Education (CASE) of St. Paul University Dumaguete (SPUD) formalized its continued collaboration with Magsaysay Memorial Integrated Farm School (MMIFS) for the Basa Ta Bata program through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing held at MMIFS on August 12, 2026.

?The agreement was signed by SPUD University President Sr. Mila Grace Silab, SPC; CASE Dean Dr. Kenneth Paul C. Duran; MMIFS Principal Mrs. Edeltrudes B. Dales; and Teachers’ League President Mrs. Doris Dago-oc. The signing was witnessed by the faculty and learners of MMIFS, alongside the officers of SPUD’s Basa Ta Bata program and their adviser, Mrs. Trina Claire Ampalayo.

?The Basa Ta Bata program is a initiative between SPUD and MMIFS in which SPUD education students provide literacy support to struggling learners. It affords pre-service teachers hands-on teaching experience while helping MMIFS learners improve their reading skills.

?This collaboration marks another chapter in the long-standing partnership between the two institutions. Both sides remain committed to sustaining the program and ensuring mutual benefit. The MOA signing serves as a reaffirmation of their shared mission to promote literacy and education within the community.
