The St. Paul University Dumaguete Guidance Center, in partnership with DepEd Dumaguete City, successfully conducted the "From Empathy to Action: Peer Facilitating Skills Training" held last August 15 and 29, 2026.

The two-batch training brought together student peer facilitators from Junob National High School, Tacloban National High School, Dumaguete City National High School, Herminigilda Gloria Memorial High School, RTPM–Dumaguete Science High School and

SPUD Basic Education and College Departments.

Through fun, interactive, and meaningful activities, our student leaders sharpened their skills in active listening, communication, collaboration, and identifying when to properly refer a peer for professional support. The sessions served as a powerful reminder that simply being there and truly listening can make a world of difference.

This impactful initiative was made possible through the dedicated support and collaboration of DepEd Dumaguete Guidance Counselors, Ms. Jia De Arce, RGC, and Mr. Randy Wilson, RGC, SPUD Guidance Team, headed by Ms. Jeneviev Deang, RGC and hardworking Guidance Buddies Officers and members.
