St. Paul University Dumaguete emerged victorious after clinching Second-Runner-Up (Third Place) for the Secondary Category at the recently concluded Division Schools Press Conference on December 7, securing an impressive array of accolades in various categories, including the elementary category.

Anchored on the theme, “From Campus Journalism to Real-World Journalism: Shaping Minds from Schools to Societies," the event took place at the Convergence Zone of the Division of Dumaguete and is the first face-to-face DSPC post-pandemic.

The Division Schools Press Conference 2023 provided a remarkable experience for campus journalists and their mentors, showcasing the power of delivering accurate news and the burning passion within journalism. This commendable feat affirms Basic Education's official campus organs, "The Pauliteen" and "The Paulette," as it provides a commitment to excellence in literary and journalistic pursuits across diverse categories.

The top five awarded journalists from individual competitions and the first-place winners for group contests are set to advance to the Regional Schools Press Conference, scheduled in Talisay, Cebu, in April 2024.
