SPUD Hosts Medical-Dental Mission





St. Paul University Dumaguete through the Onesimo de Mira Memorial Foundation in partnership with BCBP and Rotary Club of Dumaguete East(RCDE) successfully conducted a medical-dental mission at the Community Health Development Center in Bio-os, Amlan today, March 10, 2024.

Despite the scorching heat, 500 recipients from Brgy. Bio-os, Amlan went to the center and availed of the following services: medical consultation, blood typing, blood sugar testing, x-ray and tooth extraction.

Alumni and non-alumni doctors and dentists generously volunteered their time for the mission.

Circumcision for children and minor surgery for adults were also done at Bio-os Elementary School.

Way to go, SPUD!!!

Patients were given medicines and were also treated with simple snacks.

Student nurses from SPUD and pharmacology students from NORSU also assisted in the mission.

Thank you to all the people behind the success of the Medical-Dental Mission especially to the couple Bebotte and Reza Foroozan, De Mira family, to the members of BCBP, Rotary East led by Dr. Bobbin Sy, the volunteer doctors, dentists and nurses, SPUDAA led by Hon. Antonio Remollo, the Christian Formation Team led by Dr. Mary Francis Laquinon and to Sr. Ellen Lorenzana, SPC, the VP, Finance and the University President, Sr. Mila Grace Silab, SPC for all the support and to everyone who in their own way helped made the medical-dental mission possible.

This is one of the many activities the university has prepared for its upcoming 120th Founding Anniversary this coming October.
