SPUD Student Leaders Triumph at CESO 2024 Leadership Summit with Best Advocacy Award

At the CESO 2024 Leadership Summit held at Silliman University in Dumaguete on April 20, 2024, a group of dedicated student leaders from various universities showcased their commitment to social change and won the prestigious Best Advocacy award. The winning team comprised representatives from SPU Dumaguete, Saramie Lagunero, BEED III, Daisnen Baldonado, BSED Gen Scie III, and Kent Temporada, BSED English II, along with other students from different institutions.

Their groundbreaking project, "Project Akap," was the centerpiece of their presentation. Focusing on the literacy challenges faced by primary grade students, Project Akap aims to provide comprehensive support to enhance the reading abilities of young learners. The project employs a range of strategies, including interactive reading sessions, instructional workshops, and the distribution of educational resources.
