SPUD’S GOLD MEDAL WINNERS IN THE RECENT INTERNATIONAL CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION AWARDS IN THAILAND PAY A COURTESY CALL ON MAYOR REMOLLO

The Philippines’ pride, currently students of Saint Paul University Dumaguete Basic Education, who won the gold medals in the International Creativity and Innovation Awards (ICIA) 2024 held in Bangkok Thailand last April 28, 2024 paid a courtesy call on Mayor Felipe Antonio B. Remollo to share the glory of winning the prestigious competition featuring the best innovative products, services and solutions from more than a dozen countries.

Mayor Remollo commended the 6 students from the Junior High School Team members Zyrich M. Amigo, Alennea V. Duka and Gabriel Eon Q. Paguio and the Senior High School Team members Krisha Anne B. Calumpang, Krisha Mae B. Calumpang and Jan Louisse A. Legaspi along with their coach Zecariah Chito A. Jumawan whose entries “Grass Paper” and “Paulinnovation” won the gold medal in the Innovation Award and Innovation Challenge categories conferred to in a ceremony held at the King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) in Bangkok, Thailand.

Aside from commending the students for bringing honor and pride to Dumaguete City, Mayor Remollo also promised to support the teams as they will compete next in Taiwan.

Sister Ellen T. Lorenzana SPC, Councilor Rey Lyndon Lawas, City Tourism Officer OIC Katherine Therese N. Aguilar, Dr. Kenneth Paul C. Duran and Community Affairs Officer Dionie Amores were also present during the courtesy call.
