CHED grants SPU Dumaguete Deregulated Status

St. Paul University Dumaguete has been granted Deregulated Status by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), effective September 16, 2024, through September 15, 2027. The certificate was received by Sr. Mila Grace A. Silab, SPC, President of the university.

This recognition, under CHED Memorandum Order No. 7 Series of 2024, allows the university to enjoy a range of benefits and privileges outlined in CMO No. 6 Series of 2023. SPU Dumaguete is now expected to exercise greater autonomy in academic and administrative decisions, enhancing its educational offerings.

As the university gets on this new chapter, it aims to innovate and improve student services while continuing to provide holistic education. This milestone positions St. Paul University Dumaguete to make significant contributions to higher education in the Philippines.
