SPU Dumaguete Welcomes Grade 12 Students from St. Francis of Assisi of La Libertad

In a delightful display of collaboration and educational exchange, St. Paul University (SPU) Dumaguete recently welcomed a group of enthusiastic Grade 12 students from St. Francis of Assisi School in La Libertad. Accompanying the students was Fr. Royce G. Trinidad, OFM, who oversaw a benchmarking activity aimed at enhancing educational practices and fostering academic connections.

The welcome ceremony took place at the St. Joseph Hall, where Mr. Erven Noay, MACDDS, MAEd, Head of the External Affairs, extended a warm greeting to the visiting students, emphasizing the importance of educational partnerships. Mr. Noay, alongside the university’s 3rd Year Tourism Students, facilitated the welcome program, aiming to provide a friendly and informative environment for the guests.

Following the welcome, the students had a short campus tour designed to showcase the facilities and resources available at SPU Dumaguete. Highlights of the tour included visits to various academic buildings and recreational areas, culminating in a visit to the university’s well-equipped library. There, students were given the opportunity to engage in research activities that would enhance their learning experience and support their academic research endeavors.

While the students enjoyed their tour, Fr. Royce participated in a valuable benchmarking activity at the Basic Education Science Laboratory. This initiative reflects the commitment of Fr. Royce and his institution to continually improve educational practices while also exploring new methodologies that can benefit both students and educators alike.

The visit not only provided the Grade 12 students with insights into higher education but also reinforced the growing collaboration between SPU Dumaguete and other educational institutions in the region. As they concluded their day, the students left with newfound knowledge and a greater appreciation for the academic opportunities that lie ahead.

SPU Dumaguete looks forward to hosting more educational visits and collaborative activities, fostering a culture of learning and partnership in the local community.
