Following their triumph at the Western Visayas Regional Quipper Quiz Bee on March 13, the Senior High School unit of St. Paul University Dumaguete clinched the Second Runner-Up (Third Place) position at the Inter-Regional Quipper Quiz Bee Competition held on March 15, 2024.

Competing against finalists from Central + Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, and Southern Mindanao, the intellectual showdown unfolded virtually via Zoom.

Despite limited preparation time, the SHS representatives, Celdrich Lance G. Curaza, a Grade 11 STEM student, and Chillzea Vhon Abellar, a Grade 12 STEM student, exhibited exceptional dedication and performance during the intense battle of wits and knowledge. Their coach, Ms. Jean Palmes, SHS Homeroom Team Leader and Subject Team Leader for Araling Panlipunan, provided invaluable support throughout the competition.

This remarkable achievement not only highlights the prowess of SPUD students but also underscores the effectiveness of the integrated formation provided by the SPUD Basic Education Curriculum. It serves as a source of motivation for the entire department and solidifies the school’s position as a leader in providing quality education and holistic development.
