On November 22, 2024, the Paniksik-Mathletes Society organized and led a workshop on Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control (HIRAC) with guidance from their adviser, Mrs. Irish Udtohan.

The event aimed to teach students how to spot risks and hazards and to assess its likelihood to occur and its level of severity. Mr. Carl Joel Tilos who once conducted a research study about Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Control (HIRAC) during his bachelor years, was invited as the resource speaker of the said event. It highlighted as well the importance of research in improving safety measures.

This workshop reflects the university’s strong commitment to creating a secure and supportive environment where students and staff can thrive ensuring that SPUD not only meets safety standards but also leads the way in creating sustainable practices.
